Working Mothers :: essays research papers fc
Working Mothers Many women today are facing choices that their mothers never had to face. One of these choices is whether or not to go back to work after having a child. This was practically unheard of in the 1950's. In the 1990's it is not whether the mother will or will not go back to work, rather a question of when. When did the choice become set in stone? Why do the mothers of today have to work outside the home versus working in the home, much like their mothers did. When one thinks of the subject of working mothers, many differing opinions come to mind. What will happen to the child, will the mother have sufficient time to bond with the baby, how will household chores be divided, and so on. When thinking of working women, two models come to mind. One of which is paid employment that has a protective and beneficial mediating effect. Employment protects women against certain negative aspects of being full-time homemakers and mothers, such as monotonous housework, dependence on the male partner for financial and emotional support, increases self-esteem because they are contributing to the world they live in. These women receive a renewed interest in life because they are in the thick of it. They are living life to the fullest. This model is the one that is constantly referred to as ââ¬Å"badâ⬠because it paints the woman as someone who does not really care about the effect of working will have on the baby. In fact, most of these mothers have made this choice with painstaking care. They are constantly feeling what everyone is thinking, and this in turn causes undue stress on these mothers. The other model of the working mom is the one most people think of when discussing working mothers. This model is one of a woman having too many demands of her -- housewife, mother and paid employee - which may lead to role strain due to fatigue and role overload. The competing demands of such roles may also lead to conflict and psychological stress. Both of these models can be seen in the working mother at any given time. They are simply a fact of life, a by product of the world in which we live. Mothers are constantly jumping back and forth in these roles, striving to find a sense of balance. But is there such a thing? Most of the time the scales are tipped one way or another, there is never a true sense of balance. I believe this is how the mothers survive. SWOT Analysis :: Business Analysis Process
SWOT Analysis What is SWOT Analysis? SWOT analysis is a basic, straightforward model that provides direction and serves as a basis for the development of marketing plans. It accomplishes this by assessing an organizations strengths (what an organization can do) and weaknesses (what an organization cannot do) in addition to opportunities (potential favorable conditions for an organization) and threats (potential unfavorable conditions for an organization). SWOT analysis is an important step in planning and its value is often underestimated despite the simplicity in creation. The role of SWOT analysis is to take the information from the environmental analysis and separate it into internal issues (strengths and weaknesses) and external issues (opportunities and threats). Once this is completed, SWOT analysis determines if the information indicates something that will assist the firm in accomplishing its objectives (a strength or opportunity), or if it indicates an obstacle that must be overcome or minimized to achieve desi red results (weakness or threat) (Marketing Strategy, 1998). Elements of SWOT Analysis Strengths and Weaknesses Relative to market needs and competitors' characteristics, a manager must begin to think in terms of what the firm can do well and where it may have deficiencies. Strengths and weaknesses exist internally within a firm, or in key relationships between the firm and its customers. SWOT analysis must be customer focused to gain maximum benefit, a strength is really meaningful only when it is useful in satisfying the needs of a customer. At this point, the strength becomes a capability (Marketing Strategy, 1998). When writing down strengths, it is imperative that they be considered from both the view of the firm as well as from the customers that are dealt with. These strengths should be realistic and not modest. A well-developed listing of strengths should be able to answer a couple of questions. What are the firm's advantages? What does the firm do well (PMI, 1999)? A customer-focused SWOT may also uncover a firm's potential weaknesses. Although some weaknesses may be harmless, those that relate to specific customer needs should be minimized if at all possible. In addition, a focus on a firm's strengths in advertising is promotion is important to increase awareness in areas that a firm excels in. This method not only evokes a positive response within the minds of the consumer, but pushes the weaknesses further from the decision making process (Marketing Strategy, 1998). Weaknesses should also be considered from an internal and external viewpoint. It is important that listing of a firm's weaknesses is truthful so that they may be overcome as quickly as possible.

Sociology and Recreational Facilities
I am glad to have been given this opportunity to talk to you today. The title of my speech is ââ¬ËSocial ills among teenagers'. A lot has been said about the deviant behavior of teenagers. Our education system, the media, teenagers themselves and their parents have been blamed. here is no need to point an accusing finger at any particular group, but keeping mum over the issue is tantamount to condoning it. Our youths are our most valuable assets. They are the future leaders of the nation. The harm has already been done and it is now up to us to undo it.One of the main reasons why our youths go astray may be the lack of parental supervision. Nowadays, both parents go out to work. Children are left in the care of foreign maids and child-minders. As a result, they are faced with the threat of the disintegration of the family values and thus, the rising trend in social ills and crimes among teenagers. Parents should closely monitor the activities of their children and be understanding . When parents are often too busy pursuing their own careers to spare some thought for the welfare of their children, children grow up with little religious or moral guidance. When they do not get love and attention at home, they seek attention from others who may or may not come from similar backgrounds. Thus, the social ills affecting our youth may be a reflection of a much larger problem, such as the disintegration of the family unit. Ladies and gentlemen, the media may also play a part in the moral degradation among teenagers. Television programs which show violence and sex and glorify other negative aspects should be restricted. There should also be stricter enforcement of the ban on pornographic material. Teenagers with little or nothing to do during their spare time usually take to the streets. Therefore, recreational facilities such as those found in sports complexes should be available to all youths. at present, existing recreational facilities seem to either be exclusively f or the rich or for older people. the establishment of teen clubs and community centers, that do not charge high fees and that specially target teenagers, should be given top priority. In conclusion, ladies and gentlemen, everyone, including religious, educational and social institutions, as well as individuals and the media, must cooperate with the authorities to combat the social ills afflicting our teenagers. It is important that people, especially youths, do not get into the rut of moral decay. There should be a thorough study of the problem before a proper strategy can be mapped out to channel our youths towards healthier lifestyles. Thank you for your kind attention and have a nice day.

ââ¬Å5th grade autobiographyââ¬Â and ââ¬Åthe writerââ¬Â Essay
Both Doveââ¬â¢s and Wilburââ¬â¢s poems are written from the perspective of an older writer looking back at youth. Although in ââ¬Å"5th Grade Autobiographyâ⬠the author writes of her own youth from a first person perspective whereas the in ââ¬Å"The Writerâ⬠the author writes about his daughterââ¬â¢s youth from an outside perspective, both wonderfully impart the blissful feeling of childhood through vivid descriptions of the soft and pleasant nuances that make childhood so blissful. Rita Dove shows us herà world through the lens of a fifth grader. She envies her older brother despite the fact that he is depicted as young and inexperienced, shown by his poor choice to squat in poison ivy. Her grandparents have a very strong presence and are given just as lively a role as her young brother. Pictures of luminous felines come to mind when she describes her grandmother, a youthful and vibrant staple in her world. Grandfather smells of lemons, a bright, zesty, lively smell, and is imprinted in her life memories of Christmases. Richard Wilber manages to conjure a similarly blissful/childish world encompassed by the sounds of a typewriter, beautiful linden windows, and the majestic and dreamlike positioning of his daughters room. He pulls us further into this blissful illusion by using words and descriptions alluding to a ship, drifting into the deep open water away from the rest of the world. After bringing us into the peaceful settings of a childââ¬â¢s world, both authors send us plummeting into deep thought. Dove does so by abruptly letting us knowthat this grandfather is no longer alive but his memory or ââ¬Å"handsâ⬠still exist in ourà minds as it did when it was written in this 5th graderââ¬â¢s autobiography. What does this say about her grandfatherââ¬â¢s existence and death? Perhaps that recording it through a photo or even the writing of a 5th grader, it has become eternal. This pushes us to think about the sheer power of writing our thoughts and experiences down on paper. Richard also makes us consider the strength and power that writing has even for youth. The setting of his daughterââ¬â¢s writing turns into the prison trapping the delicate starling. The heart-wrenching struggle of the songbird to free itself from theà confines of the room, smashing its delicate body against the window until it finally slips free, it equated to the daughters struggle to get her words on the page. The young writer continuously pauses her finger-smashing to collect herself and continue on in her writing, similar to the bird repetitively picking up and trying again to find freedom. The humped and bloody bird is seen as his daughter, fighting with all its life force to free itself from the constraints we humans feel as writers until we finally break free, the same struggle his daughter faced in that very room.

Availing Medical Facilities at the Doorstep-Samples for Students
Working on a project and developing all the aspects related to it is a very crucial task. It ensures that the project should get pleted in a smooth manner. A proper plan should be developed in which all the aspects which will indulge in the project should be focused upon (Petit, 2012). The project initiated is about developing an application which will help in availing medical facilities in the rural areas of Australia. An application will be developed which will be connected with the kiosk machines and with the mobile phones of the people living in the rural areas. Application on the mobile phones and kiosk machines will be designed in such way which is easy to use and manage by the people living in the rural areas of Australia. The project initiated will help in providing better services to the munity and will help the people of Australia in managing a sustainable as well as healthy life (Skibniewski, et. al., 2012). Hence, a project is developed which will include a proper descrip tion of what are the aspects required to be taken into consideration before working on the project. It is being evaluated that the people living in the rural areas faces issues in getting proper medical facilities. Hence, by providing them such type of app will help them in managing the healthy life and will help the pany in providing a 75% hike in the sale as Australia has various rural areas where the medical facilities are not much effective (Stanek, et. al., 2016) Projects are developed for the welfare of the business. Aim of developing a new project is to generate more revenue and to ensure that more refined services could be developed (Thomas, 2015). There are various set of benefits which are required to be taken into consideration. But before evaluating the benefits it is necessary that various aspects should be focused upon like market analysis, SWOT analysis and output analysis. Market of online health service is a growing sector which is sustaining in the urban market. It is being evaluated that many of the people are using such type of services and are enjoying them as they are getting health tips just by making certain clicks (Too, & Weaver., 2014). There are many of the health service providers who are providing consultations with the help of online applications in the urban areas. The online health services are sustaining day by day and are moving on a successful path. Taking this business to the rural areas will definitely help in the sustainability of the munity (Cengage Lea Schwalbe, 2015). Providing instant services will help in attracting people of rural areas with the effect of which organization will move on the path of success and sustainability. Plan developed will help in sustainability of the munity There is no petition available in the rural areas Online Medical services has a growing market Helping the rural areas to growth is a noble cause in which government will also provide appropriate set of help for the initiation of project (Koltsov, et. al., 2015). It is necessary that the people of rural areas should provide the knowledge of app, because low knowledge will affect the sale of the product and services. Huge investment is required in the kiosk machine as well as app development. Availability of proper set of resources is really tough Has a very wide area to cover and attract people towards the application. Innovation is there which will help in the sustainability aspects and gaining proper set of market share. Failing to cover maximum rural areas could have a direct impact on the business. It could be possible that people of rural areas may not trust the online app and would rather prefer to visit health care centres. This will affect the sale of the business in near future. It could be possible that new petitors could enter into the market (Palma-Mendoza, et. al., 2014). This will have a huge impact on the sale of the products and services in the rural areas. Understanding the market and evaluating the SWOT analysis it could be evaluated that providing online health services in the rural areas will result in providing various set of benefits to the organisation. Market has a huge potential for growth as people available in the rural areas of Australia will definitely prefer to use the application (Patton, et. al., 2015). It is required that information camp should be organized in which information related with the kiosk machines and application should be provided to the people available in rural areas. This will help in attracting maximum number of people available in the rural areas towards the application. There are certain dis-benefits also which are attached with the new project like it could be possible that people available in the rural areas might not use the application and might prefer to visit the health practitioners directly rather than using the app (Mainga, 2017). Lack of knowledge will have a huge impact on the use of application. This will have a direct impact on the progress of the business and will affect the sale of the same. To manage the project in an effective way it is required that all the requirements needed to carry out the project should be taken into consideration. To manage the project there are several aspects which are required to be taken into consideration these aspects are: Stakeholderââ¬â¢s analysis is required to be taken into consideration as it will help in understanding the requirements and needs they have (Martinsuo, &à Killen, 2014). This will help in managing their requirements and will help managing the project in an effective way. IT team is also required to be hired for the development of the mobile app and kiosk machine Kiosk machines are required to be purchased so that they could be availed in every rural area. Appropriate project management tool will be required to manage the same in a proper way And 4 systems will be required so that the application could be developed according to the requirement (Mishra, 2014). Assumptions are made which helps in developing the understanding with the future aspects which could incur. It is required that the assumptions should be made in an appropriate way and decisions should be made accordingly. It could be assumed that after promoting the app and description of the kiosk machine maximum number of people will get attracted towards the business and will help in sustainability of the same and vice versa (Mà ¼ller, 2015). It could also be assumed that the project initiated will help in availing appropriate set of services in the emergency cases which will help in providing sustainability to the munity. Assumption could also be made that this project will help in providing expansion opportunities to the organisation and will help in the sustainability aspects. Project management is an unpredictable aspect as it is hard to predict all the aspects in a proper way. There are certain set of constraints which could be left behind and these constraints could have a huge impact on the project progress (Pandey, 2008). It could be possible that the IT team could fail in testing the app properly due to which bugs in will left. This will have a huge impact on the implementation of the project to general public. It could be possible that people available in the rural areas may not have proper set of knowledge about the app. Hence, it will again have a huge impact on the progress of the project (Petit, 2012). Determining cost of the project proposed is one of the most important aspects attached with the project plan. It is important that proper analysis of the cost which will indulge in the project should be done as it helps in providing direction to the project developer and helps in managing the work accordingly. In the project proposed cost which could be estimated is $36000. It is a very nominal cost that will in paid by the organisation for the project. Reason behind this cost is that the organisation is already working in the rural areas and there are various centres which are already available in those areas. Hence, the main expense which will incur in the project process will be on the development of the application for mobile and kiosk machines and on the kiosk machines itself only (Skibniewski, et. al., 2012). There are certain other expenses also which will incur in the promotion of the app in rural areas. Therefore the all over cost estimated for the pletion of the project is $36000. Cost benefit analysis is the tool which will be used so as to evaluate the cost which will indulge the project. This will help in evaluating the expenses which will incur and the benefit which a pany will get from the expenses it has made on the project. Cost benefit analysis will help in estimating all set of requirements and will help in making the decision of whether the pany should initiate the project or not (Stanek, et. al., 2016). In cost benefit analysis Net Present Value of the project will be calculated also it will include return on investment and will include break even analysis which will help in determining the payback period of the project. With the help of these aspects pany will be able to make the decision of whether it should apply the project or not. There are various set of risk factors which remain attached with the project. It is necessary that these risk factors should be taken into consideration so as to manage the project and maintain its requirements. Project management is a very crucial task which requires in depth analysis of all the aspects. Hence, it is necessary that the major risk factors should be evaluated and strategies should be developed to mitigate them (Thomas, 2015). Five major risks which are identified in relation with the project are: Choice and Preferences of the target customers These are the five risk factors which could have a huge impact on the progress of the project. It is necessary for the project manager to make the predictions with the help of forecasting so as to gain appropriate set of information related with the risk factors (Too, & Weaver., 2014). Unavailability of the resources will affect the progress of the project as no work could be processed without having appropriate set of resources. Unavailability of funds will have a direct impact on the project, it will have a huge impact on the functions of the project. Natural disaster is another aspect which can affect the project progress (Cengage Lea Schwalbe, 2015) Lack of leadership will affect the internal aspects of the project and will lead to misguide the team working in the project. Choice and preferences of the target customer will again have a huge impact on the project progress as it could be possible that people may not prefer to go with online services. This will lead to cause a huge loss to the pany (Ong, et. al., 2016). It will take 2 months to plete the project, which will also include the training of the employees so that they could work appropriately on the application (Koltsov, et. al., 2015). A step by step process will be provided which is required to be followed by each and every individual working on the project. It is important that the time provided for the task should be followed in an appropriate way so as to ensure that the project could get pleted within the timeframe. Major milestones decided by the project manager for the project are: Evaluating the need of the project which will be done within 2 days. In this analysis will be done of why it is required to develop such type of app for rural areas (Palma-Mendoza, et. al., 2014). Project scheduling is another aspect which will be focused upon. Project scheduling will be pleted within 5 days (Pigott & Hobbs, 2011). Time keeping will be done which will be pleted in 2 days Technical design will take 15 days as it will include various programming and developing of the app. Testing will be done for the 10 days in which all the bugs will be removed. And then training will be provided for 15 days to the staff members (Patton, et. al., 2015) At the end it could be concluded that the project initiated will help in the expansion of the pany. The project proposed will help in managing the requirement of the munity and will help in providing a better set of support to the munity. It could be evaluated that for a project it is necessary that all set of aspects should be taken into consideration and analysis should be done so as to provide a better set of support for the future success. Tourism Marketing Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Tourism Marketing - Essay Example This pressure on the industry has been further compounded on by the operational environment on the supply side that has to keep pace with influencing factors such as the rapid globalization and technological advancements (Kozak and Baloglu 2011). This paper seeks to identify the various components of marketing in the tourism industry marketing with special emphasis on strategy formulation and implementation. As a reference, the choice destination that has been identified is the Turkish tourism sector. First, it is important to review the chosen destination. Overview of Turkey as a Tourist Destination Turkey has an estimated population of over 73 million people; the country is known to be one of the most populous states with a higher number of Muslims that is a member of the European Union. It has also been cited as one of the nations that is a cradle for human civilization. On the tourism segment, the country is a world-beater for destination marketing. This can be illustrated by the impressive performance of its resorts and destinations in comparison with other European destinations (Andreu et al 2005). Moreover, statistics indicate that the country has 16 international standard airports, over a million combined bed capacity, 9000 licensed touristsââ¬â¢ guides, 568 travel agencies and 258 beaches (Goturkey 2012). Evaluating the market niche based on touristsââ¬â¢ attraction sites, Turkey offers some of the best tourist destinations in the world. From the minaret filled skyline of the famous Istanbul to the Roman ruins found along south west Coasts, the country boasts of a variety of fascinating and memorable attractions that compares with the worldââ¬â¢s top destinations (Turopia 2010). Also of importance are the attractive beaches of the Antalye and the seaside resorts found along the mountains of the eastern side of the Black sea. The major tourist destinations commonly liked by most tourists locally and internationally include Aspendos Theatre, whi ch was built around 155 AD during the reign of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius with a capacity to host between 15000 to 20000 people. Next there is the famous Patara beach, a historical scenic beauty as it is considered the cradle of the endangered Loggerhead turtle (Turopia 2010). It is also said to be the birthplace of the 4th century Byzantine bishop St. Nicholas who became the legend Santa Claus. It has massive stretches of sand, which overlaps to about 9 miles, by coverage. It is also supported by ancient Lycian and Roman ruins and swooping dunes with no visible building a part from a small cafe. The mentioned attraction sites are just but a few among the numerous destinations scattered in different regions across the Turkish nation. This calls for a sound marketing research, analysis and evaluation so that an appropriate strategy is arrived at. This will be discussed in the following section. Marketing and the Different Sectors The tourism industry has unrivalled contributio n to many economies as compared to other industries (Tsiotsou and Goldsmith 2012). However, for this potential to be tapped at higher levels in Turkey and elsewhere in the world, it is important that there is an appropriate marketing plan and strategy that has been put in place. The tourism industry is divided in different sectors that require different marketing approaches. The Turkish tourism has been broadly divided into four main categories that include natural attractions,
